How to Get Wimbledon Tickets 2024

Hey there! So you’re looking to score some tickets for the 2023 Wimbledon Championships? That’s awesome! I’ve got a detailed rundown on how to get your hands on those highly coveted tickets. Let’s dive in!

Way 1: The AELTC Public Ballot:

The Wimbledon Public Ballot is like a lottery for tickets, giving fans a chance to grab seats for popular courts like Centre Court, Court No.1, and Court No.2. Although the application window for 2024 is closed, it’s the most cost-effective option for future Championships. Keep an eye on your inbox from early November 2023 if you’ve already applied – you might just get lucky!

Way 2: The Queue:

Didn’t win in the ballot? No worries! The Wimbledon Queue is a first-come, first-served line outside the grounds during the tournament. You can snag ground passes to roam the grounds and watch play on the outside courts.

About 1,500 show court tickets are up for grabs through the queue, but the competition is fierce, so arrive early and be prepared to wait! The Queue starts on Sunday, June 30th, and continues every day of the Championships.

Oh, and check the Resale Kiosk for discounted, returned tickets to upgrade your experience! Aim to arrive by 9am for the best shot at getting in, but remember: the earlier, the better.

Way 3: LTA Ballot and Club Tickets:

If you’re a UK resident, you can join the Lawn Tennis Association for £20 and enter the LTA Ballot, which is open to all sorts of British tennis folks. Lots of LTA-affiliated tennis clubs also get a limited number of Wimbledon tickets, so joining a local club might give you a chance to enter their ballot, although long-term members may have higher priority.

More information for the 2024 ballots will be released later in the year. You’ll be able to access these ballots through your LTA Advantage online area.

Pro tip: volunteering for your county’s Lawn Tennis Association could open doors to ticket opportunities too, as they might appreciate your contributions and offer you a chance to buy a ticket!

Way 4: Hospitality Sales:

In the mood for a more luxurious Wimbledon experience? Check out hospitality packages like Skyview Suites, The Gatsby Club, The Lakeview Restaurant, The Wimbledon Club, and The Wimbledon Experience. They offer perks like food and drinks, as well as show court tickets for a truly unforgettable day. Packages cater to a variety of budgets, so you can find one that suits your needs.

Way 5: Debenture Seats:

Got some serious cash to invest? Debenture seats might be for you. These are a form of investment offered by the AELTC, giving you a ticket to every day of the Championships for five years. They’re limited and pricey, with 2,500 seats on Centre Court and 1,000 on Court

No.1. The current Centre Court debentures (2021-2025) cost £80,000 each, while the Court No.1 debentures for 2017-2021 were priced at £31,000. The funds raised from debentures are used for stuff like capital expenditures and facility upgrades, like the construction of the roof on Centre Court..

Way 6: Ticket Reseller Websites:

If all else fails, give secondary ticketing websites like Ticketmaster, StubHub, or Viagogo a shot. Prices might be steeper, but it’s worth a try if you’re really eager to attend. Debenture holders often sell their tickets on these platforms, so keep an eye out for potential deals!

Ticket Tips & Tricks

If you’ve read our guide to getting tickets to Wimbledon 2024, there are four tips and tricks you could try:

Trick 1: American Express Cardholders

Alright, so if you’re an American Express cardholder, you’ve got not just one but two awesome options to snag those Wimbledon 2024 tickets, all thanks to Amex being a sponsor

a) Extra sale for Amex cardholders

Keep your eyes peeled on American Express’ social channels to find out when their special Amex-sponsored ticket sale goes live. Once it’s up, head here and grab those last-minute tickets while they’re hot!

b) Early access to exclusive hospitality tickets

As an Amex Cardmember, you get early access to exclusive hospitality tickets for Wimbledon 2024 too. Just use your card to book an official hospitality experience, which includes reserved seats at Centre Court or No.1 Court, and top-notch hospitality from Wimbledon’s partner, Keith Prowse.

Trick 2: Resale tickets

If you’ve got a Ground Pass and you’re itching for an upgrade, keep an eye out for returned tickets at the Resale Kiosk. They’re cheaper and available when fans who are done for the day return their tickets.

Trick 3: Join the Queue after 5pm

If you’re looking to soak in the atmosphere of Wimbledon, watch some of the later matches, and indulge in some strawberries and cream, you can opt to join the queue after 5 PM for late entry. Grounds Passes are relatively more affordable in the evening, and by then, many of the morning visitors would have already left or be departing, making the queue quicker to move through.

Trick 4: Volunteer

Reach out to your county’s Lawn Tennis Association office and see if you can lend a hand with their tennis program. If you play your cards right, they might just reward your hard work with the chance to buy a ticket to the prestigious Wimbledon Championships.
